【摘要】:この規格は,塗料及び関連製品の動粘度を5000s～20000sの範囲のずり速度で測定する場合の一般手順について規定する。製品ごとの粘度を比較する場合には,ずり速度をほとんど同じにする。他に協定がなければ,測定は温度23±0.2℃に正確に管理して行う。得られた数値は,製品の塗装初期のはけさば(捌)きに関する情報を提供するが塗料の溶剤の蒸発に起因する変化についての情報は得られない。この方法は,製品がニュートン流体の性質を示すか,示さないかにかかわらず,すべてのはけ塗り用塗料に適用できる。その上,この方法は,高ずり粘度計の固定部分間隔が狭いために,JISK5600-2-5による測定のように。低い数値の分散度の塗料に対しても,よりよい再現性がある。
