【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesausefulmeansfordeterminingtherelativesusceptibilityofpolyethylenebottlestoaccumulatesoot.Inparticular,thistestmethodhasbeenfoundusefulinevaluatingantistaticadditivesorantistaticbottlesurfacetreatments,orboth.Experiencehasshownthatthebehaviorofbottlesinthistestcanbedirectlyrelatedtodustandlintaccumulationunderactualuseconditions.Thistestmethodprovidesameansofacceleratingsootaccumulation.However,thecorrelationoftheresultsofthistestmethodtoactualuseconditionsmustbeestablishedforeachapplication.Althoughnoformalround-robintestinghasbeendoneonothertypesofplastics,thistestmethodhasbeenfoundusefulfortestingotherthanpolyethyleneplastics.3Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativesusceptibilityofpolyethylenebottlestosootaccumulation.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note1--ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8andNote7.
